Jean

Jean, or better known as “John Rambo,” quickly became one of my best friends.
Oh, the stories I could tell about this man.
Stories about his faith, his courage, his heart, his knowledge, his strength - both inner and outer, there was so, so much to him.
There IS so much to him.
John & I served in Les Anglais together every time I was there. He was the team’s security. His real job was serving his country and Port au Prince, which he loved dearly, in the National Police of Haiti.

As hard as it is to type these words, John Rambo was cowardly, viciously and disgustingly assasinated on January 29, 2022, as he was leaving work by two disgusting individuals who were too cowardly to show him their faces.

I won’t say anything else about it, not here, at least, but as of 18+ months after his death, no one has been charged with his murder. The government of Haiti is so corrupt and vile - John was one of the good guys and was targeted because he was the real deal; because he couldn’t be bought into the corruption and disgust that Haiti has become.

The world lost one of the best humans to live that Saturday morning.

He touched so many lives. He is missed every single day.
