New Mama's

Recently, I’ve had a flood of maternity sessions but haven’t updated my website here in ages, so I thought I would showcase some baby bumps.
There really is a ‘glow’ that pregnant women have, and I love to see it through the lens.

Katie & Josh are adding one more to adore - but this time, it will be wrapped in pink and wearing bows. This was a challenging session - mom & dad didn’t want the boys to know what was going on, and we had to keep this sign away from nosy little eyes. We pulled it off, but it wasn’t easy!

It is so exciting to be able to have a small part in capturing these final moments for friends & families as they anticipate welcoming a new little miracle into their hearts and homes. Here’s to 2021 being full of love and growth for us all, in whatever capacity that means to each of us.

One of my all-time favorite repeat clients is this family. They always come with amazing ideas and looking like they are models. This mother should win “The Mom Who Coordinates Family Outfits The Best” award!

See how this mom coordinated colors? Perfection!

I love how how she coordinated the colors but also allowed each of them to dress as individuals. Keeping your own personal style is important and it doesn’t “date” your photos. You should always avoid wearing shirts with lettering across the chest - what is in style now may not be in style 20 years from now, and you sure don’t want your grandkids laughing at your 1990’s grunge rock t-shirt, hear me?

Welcome to my new website!

I’m SO glad you decided to drop by!

This website has been two years in the making and a huge labor of love! A sweet lady named Michele, whom I met online in a Facebook group, answered a question I asked two years ago, and her answer intrigued me. I honestly don’t even remember what the question was now, but I DO know it was Heaven inspired, because as it would come to pass, she is now one of my most dearest friends on the planet. Our love of mission work brought us together immediately when I facebook stalked her because of her answer to my question (I’m not the only one who does that, right?). I peeked at her profile and was drawn to her cute little face and contagious smile that was surrounded by even more beautiful smiles in Africa. That, of course, made me wonder, and ask questions, and we struck up a conversation that has never ended, and I am so very thankful for that! Isn’t God amazing at how he brings special people into our lives? :) So, it also just happens that Michele is a creative - she’s a web designer, a painter, a stationary designer and most recently, a Master’s Degree graduate! She is truly amazing and has helped me SO much! So, this amazing website is her brainchild, and her patience and tolerance of me has been unfounded. Thank you, friend. You are amazing! To learn more about my gem of friend, check her out here and here!

She did an amazing job seeing inside my brain at what I wanted - from the design to the colors. I wanted “light” and “airy” with a “beach” feel, although I live in the “mountains” and I want to reflect my “love for Haiti” and be able to “blog” as well as “post my photography” and tell “those” stories but I ALSO want to tell “Haiti stories” too, so “I don’t know how you can do that, but that’s what I want.” Oh, and “please don’t make it too hard” because I’m pretty busy and don’t really have time to learn anything new, and I have a new puppy and may be getting a new one this spring, too, so…Michele? You still with me? Good. She’s still here. Listening. God bless her. The patience of Job, I say.

And by golly…she did it!! She listened. She delivered. And I am NOT even kidding when I say - I am SO stinkin’ proud of this website!

What do you guys think? Comment and let me know - take a look around and leave me some feedback. I’d love to hear from you!
