I want to schedule a photo session with you, Christy! What do I do? Where do I start?

Awe! I’m so glad you are choosing to invest in some professional portraits! You will not be sorry, I promise you, friend! First of all, just contact me. You can shoot me an email by clicking on the “GET IN TOUCH” tab at the top off this page and let me know what you have in mind. If you have no idea, that’s perfectly fine! Actually, a lot of people don’t really know what they “want” with a session - but if you do, I can work with that, too! I’m here to help you throughout the entire process. It will be painless, I promise!

Ok, I’ve emailed you Christy. Now what?

Great! I will respond as soon as I can. We will chat, I will find out if you have ideas, what you want, ideas you may have, who/how many people I will be photographing, and answer any other questions you may have. Need help deciding on a location or what to wear? Just ask me! I’m happy to help!. If you have a Pinterest board with ideas, add me (Find me on Pinterest: CLPhoto). That really hellps me get to know your style. I also have some boards on there with how some suggestions on how to style your family for a family session, color coordinations, etc. Again, just talk to me. I love all that kind of language - color, styles, ideas!!

What can I expect during a session with you, Christy?

Uhm….FUN! Lot;s of talking! Lot’s of questions from me! I love to get to know you and your family. I like to talk, I like to learn who you are, what you enjoy doing, I love to hear people laugh and see their smiles. I can talk about anything - so don’t be surprised if we goof off (especially if there are kids involved!), but seriously - feel free to tell me to hush. Ha! My goal is to help you relax. When you are relaxed, your true personality shines through. No “smile and say cheese” poses here, buddy! If you have an idea of a location, let me know. I’m flexible and love going to new locations - however, there may be an additional charge if the location is 15+ miles outside of 28752 zip code, or if your family/group is extremely large.

But Christy! You don’t understand! I have KIDS that….well….are KIDS! What if they won’t cooperate?

Are you kidding me? I have kids too. Granted, they’re older now, but I’ve been there, sister. I understand. And - let me tell you - It.Will.Be.OK. Please believe that. Kids are great! I will patiently work with them, all I ask is for YOU to be patient and give them some grace, too. If they aren’t into it, that’s ok. We will go to plan B. Just trust me. :)

So. Christy. What happens before my session?

Once you decide to hire me as your photographer, I will send you an invoice. You will be PENCILED in on my schedule until the invoice is paid (due within 7 days of invoice). Once paid,. you will receive confirmation of our session appointment. If, for whatever reason the session needs to be rescheduled, please notify me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NO REFUNDS GIVEN, but I will work with you to reschedule according my availability. I will always try to work with you and your schedule as well.

And…what about after my session?zip

Your images will be ready for you to view within two weeks of your session. You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery where you can view your images. You will be able to purchase images of any size directly from your gallery.

Gallery? What do you mean? And how do I get my images?

You will have a personal online gallery that will include all of your final edited images. The number of images in your gallery will depend on the session you chose when you scheduled your appointment. You will receive an email with your personal link to your gallery within two weeks of your session. You can share this link with anyone you chose to share it with, and you can also order any prints you want directly from your gallery. Prints will ship directly to you from a professional printing lab that I have used since 2011 and have full confidence in. The cost of prints depends on the size you want, but prints are available from wallet size to poster (and larger) sizes. You can also order canvases from Christy. Please inquire for special pricing.
